Halloween Garland Part 1: Meet Mr. Frankenstein

Supplies
 • 1 Multi-purpose Dixie® Bath Assorted Colored Cup, 5 oz.
 • 1 piece of green crepe paper, approximately 8 inches long
 • Glue stick
 • 2 medium-size googly eyes
 • 2 golf tees
 • Black permanent marker or black crafts paint and crafts brush

To make the Frankenstein garland piece of your DIY Halloween decoration, start by rolling a glue stick over the outside surface of a cup. Attach the green crepe paper, starting at the cup’s lip and working around and down toward the bottom of the cup. Use the glue stick to attach medium-size googly eyes, as shown. Using a black marker or black paint and crafts brush, color two golf tees. Insert tees on either side of the cup as Frankenstein’s "ears." With a black permanent marker, draw a zig-zag mouth shape.

Halloween Garland Part 2: A Ghostly Gahtering

Supplies
 • 1 Multi-purpose Dixie® Bath Assorted Colored Cup, 5 oz.
 • 2 white tissues
 • Glue stick
 • 2 medium-size googly eyes
 • Black permanent marker
 • Black construction paper
 • Scissors

For your ghost garland piece, start by rolling a glue stick over half of a cup. Begin with the cup's bottom, working toward the middle with the glue stick. Drape a single tissue over the cup’s bottom, pressing gently to adhere to the glue but leaving the bottom part of the tissue loose and flowing and half of the cup uncovered. Repeat with a second tissue after applying glue in small dabs on top of the first tissue. Use the glue stick to attach googly eyes, as shown. Using black construction paper, draw and cut out a mouth for the ghost. Attach the black paper using the glue stick.

Halloween Garland Part 3: Scream-Worthy Spiders

Supplies
 • 1 Multi-purpose Dixie® Bath Assorted Colored Cup, 5 oz.
 • Scissors
 • Pencil
 • Glue stick
 • 2 large googly eyes
 • 4 black pipe cleaners
 • Clear tape

To make the last piece of this Halloween garland, start by using the glue stick to attach two giant googly eyes to the front of a cup. Then, cut each pipe cleaner in half. To create pipe-cleaner spider legs, bend a small portion of one piece of pipe cleaner into a zig-zag form, with a long middle and two short ends. Repeat with all pipe cleaner pieces. Place one small bended end of a pipe cleaner inside the cup, and use tape to attach it. Repeat with all the remaining pipe cleaner pieces.

Halloween Garland Part 4: Assembling the Garland

Supplies
 • Decorated Dixie® cups
 • Thick twine or string
 • Thin twine or string; cut one 8-inch piece for each cup
 • Clear tape
 • Scissors

To complete your DIY Halloween decoration project, start by cutting a piece of thick twine or string to the length desired for your Halloween garland. Evenly space the pieces of thin twine or string along the thick twine. Tie the thin pieces tightly around the thick garland piece, leaving two tails of equal length for each piece of string. Decide the order of cups on your Halloween garland decoration. Using scissors, cut a small hole in the center of the finished top of the first cup. Slide the two ends of the thin twine into the hole, and tie a knot so the cup stays in place. Repeat with the remaining cups. Hang the Halloween garland, attaching the ends with pieces of tape.
