4 Fantastic Family Games
Put a homemade twist on game night with kid-friendly games that you can create and play with your whole family. All you need is your imagination and some Dixie® paper products.
DIXIE® CUP GOLF
What you'll need:
- Dixie® cups (2 or more)
- Golf or ping-pong balls
- Tape
- Toy golf clubs or hockey sticks
How to play:
1. Set the cups on their sides throughout the room and tape them down so they won't move.
2. Each player takes turns trying to hit their ball into the cups
SUPERSIZED PLATE-TAC-TOE
What you'll need:
- 10 Dixie® paper plates
- 1 or 2 markers
- Colored tape
How to Play:
1. Draw a large O on five plates and a large X on the other five
2. Using one plate as a size guide, create a tic-tac-toe grid on the floor with tape.
3. X and O players take turns laying their plates down on the grid until one of them gets three in a row.
DIXIE® CUP BOWLING
What you'll need:
- Dixie® cups (10 minimum)
- Small rubber ball
How to play:
1. Continue stacking upside-down cups on top to create a pyramid.
2. Players roll the ball and try to knock down as many cups as possible.
ABC SCAVENGER HUNT
What you'll need:
- Dixie® paper plates (one per player)
- Markers
- Scissors
How to play:
1. Using the markers, write the alphabet around the edge of each plate.
2. Using the scissors, make a small cut on either side of each letter to form a tab.
3. Write each player's name on the center of the plate. Players can decorate the plates if they want.
3. Explore the house or neighborhood, looking for items that start with each letter. When you spot something that begins with the letter, fold the tab back.
4. First player to find all 26 wins!
